The Museum of Novelties is a not-for-profit, permanent institution in the service of society that researches, collects, conserves, interprets and exhibits tangible and intangible heritage. Open to the public, accessible and inclusive, our Museum seeks to offer varied experiences for education, enjoyment, reflection and knowledge sharing.

Prelude 0: Humble Beginnings
Nothing important has happened yet.

What’s with all the hate for history, anyway? Tomorrow should be a special day, with the opening of a new exhibit showcasing the ancient artefacts of a kingdom long forgotten, and yet barely anyone seemed interested in showing up the day prior. Welcome, you ten random nobodies. And greetings, the only one of you who actually matters. (You know who you are.)

After all, what do you really need to know? Something happened a long time ago, with people long dead, and nobody in the future will ever care about your deeds today. Well, for whatever reason, you’re here today. Something else might be happening tomorrow. Let’s not think too hard about it.

As you approached the entrance of the Museum, if and when, you might’ve noticed blue banners on the front, fluttering against the wind. If you cared to pay attention to these banners, you might’ve observed the following words:

So… what gives? Is this going to be a boring history lesson? Is this just an excuse to bring you all here to the game’s setting? Yes and yes, and with all that said, head inside and leave your mark! Or stay outside and see who else arrives, that’s entirely up to you. Or even leave if you want, I’m not your parent. Collect your brochures on your way inside.

Zero One then make his way to the receptionist desk and press/ring the bell that sits neatly on top of the desk. As if asking for an assistant.

*A portal rift opens and it instantly closes as a unconscious green worm with a robot helmet comes out of it.*

Zero One probably seemed out of place in his attire, although when he rang a bell and summoned the receptionist, not even an eyebrow was raised in his direction.



"The first guest of the day! Don’t worry, everyone’s welcome… unless you’re planning to kill somebody, that is. What do you need help with?"

A hooded girl wanders aimlessly around the halls of the museum and finds herself in the Gallery.

An Ordinary Man walked into the museum with one of his off days from work. After entering the museum, he casually enters the the Lounge and starts relaxing.

Stop me if you’ve heard this one before… welcome to the Gallery, located on the first floor. Adjacent to the Alchemy room, here you can find a staircase leading upstairs into the Statue Room (all of which are available to the public). In the Gallery itself, you can find a collection of preserved artefacts from the past; old copper coins, or ancient weapons, all kept in glass cases, or even a wooden boat suspended from the ceiling. Please don’t touch anything.

It’s a pleasure to see ordinary individuals like yourself visiting the Museum in your free time. Don’t worry, it won’t feel like you’ve been here long at all. Welcome to the lounge, where staff members tend to relax during their breaks. A door in the room leads into the curator’s private study. Luckily for you, nobody else seems to be in the lounge at the moment, or else you might’ve had some explaining to do.

“Ah, Was I not supposed to be here?” the man asks, leaving as the ordinary man he is. After leaving he decides to head somewhere he will be allowed, so he heads up the stairs into the garden.

Futso promptly vacates the lounge and passes Zero One in the entrance, heading upstairs to find a way to enter the garden. There was a door on the first floor leading into the garden, but no. Futsu went upstairs, hearing sounds from the gallery as he passed, and climbed down a ladder from the ledge overseeing the garden. Now he could relax on the bench here, if he so chose.

As one of the larger rooms in the Museum, here you can find artefacts of past empires. Objects on display from the Roman empire, ranging from stone and metal sculptures to jewellery, silverware, pottery and glass… arts from the Spanish empire, from the beginning of the sixteenth century… rather bizarre puzzle boxes from the Imperium empire… hmm, that one doesn’t quite seem like the others. In short, these are just your run of the mill ancient artefacts from the past.

…Oh yeah, the new lost treasures of Octavia exhibit. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’re in quite the wrong place; there are no mentions of the Kingdom of Octavia in this room. You could always ask the receptionist if you need to know more.

Lex suddenly is woken up and a sudden emergency can be felt within him.

Oh no! How did I get here? Where am I?

...That can be answer later, I must quickly return and get that Magic Pen!

And with this, the brave helmet hero has left the building, only to realize he's quite in a different world and it will require more than a dramatic exit.

The helmet hero though he could go away from the library, however returns back disappointed...

Until a realization struck him.

There's another narrator who is narrating my narrative? Would they be inside of this place?

Though no time for that... Maybe I should stop monologging in front of people, even though they might be fictional.

Lex swiftly opens a book titled "The Wizard of Oz" and dives right inside the book, absorbing him despite the size of the bookworm and the book!
